Privacy Policy

The short version Coklico does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, and makes no network connections of any kind. Everything you do in Coklico stays on your device.

This Privacy Policy explains how Coklico (the "App") handles information. The App is developed and published by Eric Ordonneau ("we", "us"), acting as the data controller for the limited purposes described below. By using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

None. We do not collect any personal data or usage data whatsoever. Specifically, Coklico does not collect:

Your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact details
Account credentials — the App has no sign-in or user accounts
Location data
Photos, camera, or microphone data
Contacts, calendars, or health data
Device identifiers, advertising identifiers (IDFA), or advertising data
Analytics, usage statistics, crash reports, or diagnostic data
Payment or financial information — the App contains no purchases or subscriptions

The App requests no system permissions and displays no permission prompts, because it needs none.

2. Information stored on your device

Coklico saves your preferences locally on your iPhone using Apple's standard app-preferences storage, so the App remembers your settings between launches. This consists solely of:

Your chosen number of petals
The phrases you have entered or customised in the App's settings

If you choose an alternate app icon, that choice is recorded by iOS itself as a standard system setting; it is not information we receive.

This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, it is not synced to iCloud by the App, and we have no access to it or visibility into it. It is stored in the App's private storage area, which iOS isolates from other apps. Because the phrase fields accept free text, please avoid typing sensitive personal information into them — although even if you do, that text remains solely on your device.

Deleting the App from your device permanently erases this stored data.

3. No network activity, no third parties

Coklico contains no networking code and functions entirely offline. It does not connect to any server operated by us or by anyone else. The App integrates no third-party software development kits, analytics providers, advertising networks, crash-reporting services, or social media components. Consequently:

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose personal data, because we hold none.
No third party receives data from the App.
There is no cross-app or cross-site tracking of any kind.
No data is transferred internationally.

If you download the App from Apple's App Store, Apple may collect information about that download or about your device in accordance with Apple's own privacy policy, over which we have no control and to which this policy does not apply.

4. Your rights under the GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation grants you rights over your personal data, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing, and the right to withdraw consent.

Because Coklico processes no personal data and we hold no information about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. You retain complete and direct control over the preference data stored on your device: you can change it at any time in the App's settings, or remove it entirely by deleting the App. We do not rely on any legal basis for processing under Article 6 GDPR, as no processing by us takes place.

You nevertheless have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. You are also welcome to contact us with any question about this policy using the details in section 8.

5. Your rights under California law

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act gives you the right to know what personal information is collected about you, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, the right to opt out of its sale or sharing, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not collect any categories of personal information listed in the CCPA. We have never sold or shared personal information, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information. We do not engage in cross-context behavioural advertising and do not process personal information for automated decision-making or profiling. Because we collect nothing, there is no personal information for us to disclose, delete, or correct in response to a request.

6. Children's privacy

Coklico is a general-audience entertainment app and is not directed at children. Because the App collects no personal data from anyone, it collects no personal data from children of any age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or under 16, where applicable local law sets that threshold), and it is not technically possible for the App to do so. 7. Security and data retention

The strongest security measure available is not to collect data in the first place, and that is the approach Coklico takes. We operate no servers and maintain no databases containing user information, so there is no user data of ours that could be breached or leaked. We retain no personal data and therefore have no retention period to disclose. The preference data on your device is protected by iOS's built-in app sandboxing and by your device's own security features, such as your passcode and device encryption.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if a future version of the App introduces new functionality. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this document and publish the new version. If a future update changes the App's data practices in a material way, we will make that clear in the App or in its App Store release notes.
